About the job as an automation engineer

At EngineerIT, you will be part of a small team of experienced engineering professionals, and you will play an important role in forming the company culture and traditions of this our young startup.

You will be working with leading manufacturers and OEMs in highly regulated industries such as pharma, medtech, biotech and the food industry. • Collaborate with colleagues and clients on projects, small and large
  • Help develop products and services for EngineerIT

Who are you?

As a person

You have solid relational abilities. You collaborate as naturally with management as with operators and easily align your communication to different perspectives and skill levels.

You are thorough and you take great pride in a job well done. You have the experience to drive automation projects independently and like to be part of a small, tightly knit team with an informal tone and a flat hierarchy where everybody feels valued and comfortable speaking up.

You enjoy the process of understanding new technology, new manufacturing processes and new clients, and you are secure enough in your abilities to both ask for and share feedback, help and advice when necessary.

As an automation engineer

You need to have:

  • experience programming PLC and HMI systems as well as robots and servo equipment
  • a thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical technology
  • professional proficiency in Danish and English

Ideally, you also have:

  • experience working as an industrial electrician, automation technician or similar
  • experience with highly regulated industries such as the pharmaceutical industry
  • knowledge of the Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) system

Practical questions

Is the position full time or part time?

The position is full-time by default, but we are open to a dialogue about the need to work part time. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all solution, but in finding the balance that works for you.

Can I work remotely?

The position is hybrid with varying degrees of working from home: At the start of each project, you will work closely with the client at their premises to understand their manufacturing process and requirements and build the foundation for your collaboration with key stakeholders.

Once the project is under way, remote work is possible two to three days per week when preparing software and simulations. When testing machinery, you need to be on site.

Where will I be working?

Our clients are located on Zealand, Denmark, most of them in or near the capital region. When you are not on site at the client’s premises, you have the possibility to work from our office in Måløv or you can work from home

The job entails some international travel, mainly within the EU. How much depends in part on the nature of each project and in part on your personal preference, but expect roughly 10-20 days of travel per year.
